Seattle Japanese Garden 60th Anniversary

August-September 2020

I was invited by the Seattle Arboretum Foundation to participate in the the Seattle Japanese Garden 60th anniversary exhibit along with four other artists. I completed 11 sketches in an album style sketchbook filled with scenes and moments captured throughout the garden. It was a wonderful experience and even amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers were able to create a virtual exhibit and showcase everyone’s art. Prior to the garden opening to the public, I was able to sketch on my own in the early mornings with only a few gardeners also in the garden.
